Task 1: Hello, World

Create world/hello.c, a small C program that prints:

hello, world

Compile and run

From the world folder, run:

cc hello.c -o hello
./hello

If your system provides gcc instead of cc, use gcc hello.c -o hello. Windows users should use the compile-and-run commands for the compiler configured in VS Code.

Check your work

  • The program compiles without errors.
  • The output is exactly hello, world followed by a new line.
  • The file is named hello.c.

Continue with Task 2: Hello, It's Me.
